I greatly admire those who are honest with themselves. Honesty is not the easiest thing to have when it comes to yourself. It’s hard to admit “I’m not okay” and to really understand and accept that. Instead of being something you’re not or fronting to be “okay”. It’s ok not to be ok and the first step is being honest about it. If you can’t be honest with yourself how can you be honest with anyone else? Honesty is such a great sign of strength, and that’s why I admire it so deeply. It’s being able to say the hardest things and admit the truths we sometimes don’t want to admit. It’s the truths we want to hide and burry or run from and never face. But if you keep running you’re only running in circles. You create a dragging cycle that becomes all to familiar. Start being honest with you, and you will grow. You will move forward. You will see change. You will see hope. Don’t be the wall blocking your own happiness. Be honest. Be honest about how you feel. Be honest about what you want. Be honest about what hurts you. Be honest about what scares you. Just be honest.
